Strategy Consultant - Oil & Gas

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Strategy Consultant with strong consulting experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The professional will support clients with corporate strategy, growth initiatives, digital transformation, go-to-market planning, business-case development and financial modelling.

The role requires a combination of industry knowledge, structured problem-solving, stakeholder management and the ability to convert complex business challenges into practical strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support strategy-development and digital-transformation engagements for Oil & Gas clients.
• Assess business challenges, market opportunities and operational improvement areas.
• Conduct market research, industry benchmarking and competitor analysis.
• Develop market-entry, expansion and go-to-market strategies.
• Evaluate new business models, digital opportunities and potential revenue streams.
• Build business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives.
• Perform commercial assessments, financial analysis and scenario modelling.
• Identify industry trends, policy developments, regulatory changes and disruptive technologies.
• Develop strategic recommendations supported by data, research and financial analysis.
• Prepare client presentations, executive reports, proposals and decision-support documents.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions with senior business stakeholders.
• Translate strategic recommendations into practical implementation roadmaps.
• Support programme governance and track the business impact of transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business, operations, finance and technology.
• Contribute to consulting proposals, thought-leadership materials and practice-development initiatives.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Strategy Consultant or in a closely related strategy-consulting role.
• Minimum 2 years of direct consulting experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong experience in digital transformation and management consulting.
• Demonstrated experience developing go-to-market strategies.
• Strong financial-modelling and business-case-development capabilities.
• Experience in market assessment, benchmarking and competitive analysis.
• Ability to structure ambiguous business problems and develop actionable recommendations.
• Strong presentation, communication and senior-stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work from the Delhi/NCR office five days a week.

Education - Mandatory:

• B.Tech in any discipline

• Full-time MBA/PGDM.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with upstream, midstream, downstream, retail-fuel or energy-transition engagements.
• Understanding of Oil & Gas regulations, sustainability and emerging digital technologies.
• Experience working with senior executives in a consulting environment.
• Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, business-case preparation and executive storytelling.
