About the Role

Your primary job is understanding finance deeply and explaining it clearly. SEO-first content is a big no. Youll spend your time researching markets, businesses, investing, personal finance, economics, and global events that shape financial outcomes. Youll then turn those insights into engaging stories across long-form YouTube videos, shorts, reels, and other formats.

Were not looking for generic content writers.

Were looking for people who genuinely enjoy understanding how money works and can communicate those ideas simply.

Youll work closely with researchers, producers, editors, and presenters to create content that helps millions of Indians make better financial decisions.

Important: We hire finance-first writers, not content-first writers. Strong financial understanding and research ability are significantly more important than prior content strategy experience.

What Youll Be Doing

• Research and write original content on investing, trading, personal finance, business, economics, and markets.
• Pitch 2–3 strong story ideas every week backed by research and clear audience relevance.
• Read annual reports, earnings transcripts, research papers, government reports, and other primary sources.
• Interview experts and practitioners whenever required.
• Convert complex financial concepts into engaging stories that anyone can understand.
• Create supporting material such as calculators, frameworks, models, data analysis, and visual references that strengthen our content.
• Repurpose insights across formats: turn a long-form video into shorts, reels, posts, and other platform-native content.
• Create clear visual briefs that editors and production teams can execute.
• Track content performance and continuously improve your writing based on audience feedback and data.
• Stay updated on developments across business, finance, investing, economics, and global markets.
• Contribute across different projects within the business as required.

What Were Looking For

Finance & Research

• Strong understanding of stock markets, investing, personal finance, and business.
• Good understanding of macroeconomics and microeconomics.
• Familiarity with financial statements, financial ratios, investing frameworks, portfolio construction, valuation concepts, and market cycles.
• Ability to research unfamiliar topics from first principles.
• Comfortable reading annual reports, research papers, earnings transcripts, government reports, and primary sources.
• Ability to build simple financial models, calculators, and supporting material that improves content quality.
• Ability to identify nuances and insights beyond surface-level explanations.

Writing & Communication

• Strong writing and storytelling skills. Ability to translate research into content that is both insightful and engaging.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple, easy-to-understand language.
• Strong attention to detail and fact-checking.

Content Understanding

• Understanding of YouTube content fundamentals is a plus.
• Familiarity with concepts such as storytelling, audience psychology, retention, packaging, and content outliers are preferred.
• Experience in writing for YouTube is a bonus.

• You can present or narrate the content youve written.
• Youve worked with creators or educational media brands before.
