Job Description
- The site electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures on the site. You will inspect electrical components to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards and diagnose electrical problems to repair or replace faulty wiring and equipment. Reading technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics will be a part of your daily tasks, along with testing electrical systems using testing devices. Ensuring that electrical systems are safe and properly grounded is crucial. You will collaborate with engineers, construction managers, and other trades on-site and complete work orders, reports, and maintenance logs accurately. Compliance with site-specific health and safety policies is a top priority, as well as supporting commissioning activities for new equipment and installations.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid electrician license/certification as required by local regulations and have proven experience working on construction or industrial sites. Strong knowledge of national electrical codes and safety standards is necessary, along with the ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. A strong commitment to health and safety practices is a must.
Preferred qualifications include 3-5 years of experience with high-voltage systems (optional depending on the project) and First Aid Certification (site-specific).
This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund. The work location is in person.
