About the Opportunity:
We are conducting a confidential search for a seasoned procurement leader to head sourcing and procurement operations for a leading organization in the agri/food sector. The role will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing large-scale commodity sourcing, and driving cost, quality, and supply continuity objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement and sourcing of agricultural commodities.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement governance.
- Drive sourcing efficiencies, cost optimization, and risk management initiatives.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of key commodities across the value chain.

- Collaborate closely with commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and finance teams.
- Build and mentor high-performing procurement teams.
- Monitor market trends, commodity movements, and sourcing opportunities.
Candidate Profile:
- MBA from a premier institute is mandatory.
- Graduation/Post-Graduation completed between 2004 and 2009.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in procurement and sourcing.
- At least 4-5 years of hands-on procurement experience in Wheat, Edible Oil, or similar agricultural commodities.
- Experience with large Indian or multinational organizations is preferred.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, and commodity procurement.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large procurement portfolios and teams.
- Stable career progression with consistent tenure across organizations.
Preferred Background
- Procurement leadership roles in large FMCG, food processing, agri-business, edible oil, grain, or commodity-focused organizations.
- Exposure to agricultural commodity markets and supply chains.
Compensation- 1.5 Cr
