This role requires working from our local Hyderabad office 23x a week.
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, IndiaAbout the Team
The AI Enablement team accelerates safe, scalable adoption of AI across ABC.
We act as both:

• A Platform Team ? providing reusable AI capabilities via APIs, SDKs, and templates with security, observability, and compliance built in.
• An Enablement Pod ? collaborating with product teams to co-deliver first AI features, then progressively transferring ownership.

What Youll Do

• Partner with the AI Architect (technical vision) and AI Product Managers (adoption goals) to align priorities and guide the team toward consistent delivery.
• Lead, coach, and grow engineers across both halves of the AI Enablement org (Platform + Delivery Pod).
• Foster a healthy, high-performing team culturegrounded in trust, curiosity, and accountability.
• Support engineers in their personal growth and career progression; act as a mentor and coach.
• Shape and evolve ways of working that balance experimentation (POCs, Alphas) with reliability (Beta, Release, Maintenance).
• Ensure collaboration with stream-aligned product teamsembedding, co-building, and enabling them to confidently own AI features by Release.
• Translate platform principlescollaboration-first, platform-as-product, safety by default, observability as foundationinto team practices.
• Track and improve success against key metrics: adoption, time-to-production, reliability, safety, and developer satisfaction.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives that make ABC an exceptional place to work.
• Represent the AI Enablement mission in leadership forums, communicating clearly and collaboratively across stakeholders.
  

What Youll Need

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years leading or managing engineering teams.
• Proven success in people leadership: building engaged teams, coaching engineers, and supporting career growth.
• Experience working in or leading platform or enablement teams (e.g., DevOps, ML platforms, shared services).
• Strong delivery management skills: roadmap execution, stakeholder alignment, and adoption tracking.
• Familiarity with AI/ML/LLM concepts and cloud-native platforms (enough to support engineers and collaborate effectively with the AI Architect).
• Excellent communication and facilitation skillscomfortable aligning cross-functional teams and simplifying complex topics.
• Strategic mindset: able to connect platform adoption to business outcomes (faster delivery, reduced incidents, cost efficiency).
  

Bonus: Experience applying Team Topologies principles (Platform / Enabling teams) or scaling adoption of new platforms or practices across multiple product teams.
