Specialist-Solution Engineering

The Specialist/Senior Analyst - Solution Engineering supports the analysis and translation of business requirements into technical specifications. This role collaborates with Engineering and Product teams to develop and implement solutions that meet user needs. The role contributes to project planning and execution, ensuring deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.

You will work on a daily basis with the solution architects, development, QA, PM and SM team members to solution products that customers love. You will also have to coordinate core solutions with the Product and Technology Teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete High-Level Analysis of the CRs submitted by the airline
• Submit CR to the Product Intake process for approval
• BRD and functional user stories creation, in case of Product acceptance, and creation of AHA item to add it to Product backlog
• BRD, functional/development user stories, and solution approach documentation in case of customer specific (no core)
• Work at the same time on projects related to three releases:
• Support airline with current release in UAT
• Support Accelya development and QA Team with current release in implementation phase (SIT)
• Create BRDs and functional user stories for the projects targeted in the upcoming release before the last sprint of the current release
• Support airline with any inquiry related to future CRs (Pre-CR inquiries)
• Handover BRD and user stories to Accelya development and QA teams
• Initial handover for development and QA estimations for release planning
• Second handover to QA after Business analyst sanity test, once implemented
• Training/Demo UAT release deliverables to the airline QA.
• Internal Release Demo to Accelya team.
• In cases of airlines with solutions with third party vendors, BA must participate in sessions to align the solution with the other parties
• Support PMs and SMs in the release and sprint planning
• Follow up with Product Owners regarding delivered solutions from Product
• Support PreSales team by answering questions about functionality.
• Work with NDC Team to update schemas, as needed.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and facilitation
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Basic technical knowledge (APIs, databases, system flows)
• Stakeholder management
• AWS platform is preferred.
• Practical AI fluency: can use AI as a thinking partner to accelerate requirement elicitation, analysis mapping, and documentation, while maintaining strong human judgment over final outcomes. Ability to iterate on prompts, validate outputs (accuracy, completeness, assumptions), and clearly communicate AI‑assisted insights to stakeholders.
