Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Charge Entry:

• Enter and validate patient demographic, insurance, and charge details into the billing software accurately.

• Review superbills, charge sheets, or encounter forms for completeness before submission.
• Ensure correct application of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes based on documentation and client-specific requirements.
• Verify provider, facility, and payer details to avoid claim rejections.
• Manual Billing through Payer Portals (i.e. Medicare Direct Data Entry, Payer Portals, etc.) if necessary
• Identify and correct missing or inconsistent billing information.

Payment Posting

• Post insurance payments (EOB/EFT/ERA) and patient payments (cash, check, credit card, online) into the billing system.
  
• Ensure payments are posted to the correct patient account, date of service, and procedure code.
