Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Business Growth
- Develop and drive new market development and revenue maximization strategies aligned with zonal business objectives.
- Identify high-potential markets and crop segments to expand market share and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Lead channel sourcing and market expansion initiatives to penetrate underserved and untapped territories.
- Formulate and execute zone-wise business plans, including demand generation, pricing, and trade strategies.
- Build long-term relationships with distribution partners through structured engagement, forecasting, and trade marketing plans.
- Ensure effective primary and secondary sales movement, especially in underpenetrated (white space) markets.
- Drive end-user demand creation strategies through farmer engagement programs, demo activities, and field campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to design and execute impactful promotional campaigns.
- Identify key sales points and ensure strong merchandising visibility to enhance brand presence.
- Lead pilot testing of new products, gather market insights, and provide actionable feedback for commercialization.
- Analyze monthly end-user sales and market trends to design targeted market share growth initiatives.
- Translate marketing strategies into on-ground execution plans in collaboration with the sales team.
- Ensure achievement of zonal sales targets through effective planning, monitoring, and corrective actions.
- Drive inventory planning, forecasting accuracy, and supply coordination to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by mentoring, guiding, and developing team members to achieve high performance.
- Build capabilities within the field and marketing teams through regular process training, technical training on product and crops, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence across the zone.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources and drive cost-conscious decision-making within the team.

- Ensure effective accounting practices, JDA management, MIS, and reporting systems for self and team as per defined norms.
- Monitor and control budgets, expenses, and ROI for all marketing and sales initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements across all activities.
- Qualification: B.Sc. (Agri and M.Sc. (Agri) / MBA
- Experience: 15 to 20 years experience in sales of Crop Protection Solutions and / or other agricultural inputs
- Strategic thinking & market analysis (crop trends, farmer insights, competitor intelligence)
- Integrated marketing & brand management (campaigns, GTM, product positioning)
- Demand generation expertise (farmer engagement, rural activation, digital outreach)
- Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder management
- Team leadership & marketing capability building
