Role Overview:
The Financial Planning & Analysis role at Adani Enterprises Limited is a critical position responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, strategic planning, and decision support to senior management. This role involves collaborating with various business units to develop budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial guidance and support strategic initiatives, ultimately impacting the company's profitability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts by collaborating with business unit leaders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and providing actionable insights to management.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), for senior management, highlighting trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives, such as new investments, mergers and acquisitions, and cost optimization projects.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and MIS reports to track performance and provide timely information to stakeholders.
- Support the development of long-term financial plans and strategies, aligning with the company's overall vision and growth objectives.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial recommendations based on thorough analysis and risk assessment.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, maintaining the integrity of financial data and reporting.
Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
- Proven expertise in conducting detailed variance analysis and providing actionable insights to improve financial performance.
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CA) preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and business intelligence tools is highly desirable.
