Job Description
Adenza's Accounting and Finance function plays a pivotal role in providing critical information and analysis to the business, enabling the company to make well-informed operating and strategic decisions. The team is spread over four main office locations and is split into Financial planning & analysis, Business Partnering, tax and treasury, and Accounting. The people working in this team are high-caliber team players who work together to support the business effectively and efficiently.
Team and Role Overview
The Billing and Collections Analyst will facilitate the set-up of contract milestones, billing, and collection of software, customer delivery, and travel expenses for Adenza’s business lines. We are seeking a hands-on individual with relevant experience in contract administration, invoicing, and collections. The position reports directly to the Manager of Billing and Collections located in Mumbai, India, and interfaces with multi departments on a worldwide basis. The position is located in Mumbai, India.
Responsibilities
Contract Administration: Administration of contract set-up in NetSuite and OpenAir systems. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Understanding contract structure, billing practices, and customer policies from both a customer-facing and a finance department perspective
Invoicing and Collections: Ensure accurately and timely invoicing. Resolution of client invoicing issues. Interface with the sales, and customer delivery teams in the field. Ensure compliance with client systems
Monthly Close: Timely and efficient monthly close, including management of unbilled software and fixed price milestones, timesheet compliance for revenue accrual, review of cost and revenue accrual for billable expenses, and oversight over subcontractor costs
Reporting: Assist Senior Manager with weekly and monthly invoicing and collections reporting, budget versus actual analysis
Skills And Requirements
Minimum 6 years experience in contract administration, billing, and collections.
Advanced proficiency in Excel is necessary. Strong analytical skills are essential.
Strong attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to effectively gather and convey information via e-mail or phone with people located in other non-local offices and in different time zones
Experience with NetSuite, OpenAir, and Salesforce preferred
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, proactive, deadline-oriented, fast-learner, who is an organized, dedicated, flexible, hands-on team player with excellent problem-solving skills. A “Roll-up-the sleeves” approach is required Comfortable in an unstructured, dynamic, fast-paced environment
Extended hours required during peak business periods – financial close, audit periods, and as required by management
