Job Description
Position Title: Support Medical Services Mines
Department: Medical & Occupational Health Services
Location: Baphlimali Bauxite Mines / Manufacturing Operations
Experience: 2-5 Years
Role Purpose
To provide occupational health support, emergency medical assistance, and healthcare services for employees and contract workmen at mining and manufacturing operations. The incumbent will assist in maintaining statutory compliance, health surveillance, medical record management, and emergency preparedness activities within the Occupational Health Centre (OHC).
Educational Qualification
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Diploma in Nursing or equivalent Paramedical qualification.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration preferred.
- Certification in First Aid, BLS, ACLS, or Emergency Medical Care will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in Occupational Health Centres (OHC), Hospitals, Mining, Manufacturing, Metals, Cement, Steel, Power, or Heavy Engineering industries.
- Experience in emergency care, employee health monitoring, and industrial health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency medical care to employees and contractor.
- Assist the Medical Officer in the day-to-day functioning of the OHC.
- Conduct and coordinate Initial Medical Examinations (IME) and Periodical Medical Examinations (PME).
- Maintain employee medical records, treatment registers, and statutory health documentation.
- Support occupational health surveillance programs, including audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
- Coordinate medical referrals, ambulance services, and emergency hospitalizations.
- Monitor medicine inventory, medical consumables, and emergency equipment availability.
- Assist in organizing health camps, wellness initiatives, and awareness programs.
- Ensure compliance with DGMS guidelines, Mines Act provisions, and occupational health regulations.
- Prepare monthly health reports, MIS, and compliance-related documentation.
