We are looking for a highly creative and strategic Senior Graphic Designer - Packaging to lead packaging design initiatives across product categories and ensure strong retail presence, regulatory compliance, and production excellence.

Senior Graphic Designer - Packaging

Experience: 4+ Years
Location: Chennai
Work Mode: Work from Office (6 Days)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging design for new product launches and existing SKU revamps
• Develop strong, shelf-impact packaging concepts aligned with brand positioning
• Create and supervise print-ready artworks with accurate die lines, color specifications (CMYK, Pan tone), and finishing details
• 
  Ensure compliance with FMCG regulatory standards (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, nutrition labeling, bar code standards, etc.)
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to align packaging with business objectives
• Work closely with printers and packaging vendors for sampling, color proofing, and production approvals
• Conduct pre-press checks and approve print proofs before mass production
• Maintain packaging consistency across multiple SKUs and product variants
• Optimize packaging for cost efficiency, material selection, sustainability, and logistics
• Mentor junior designers and provide creative direction when required

Candidate Profile

• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication, or related field
• 4+ years of FMCG packaging design experience (Health, Food, Supplements, or Personal Care preferred)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating retail-ready packaging and print production expertise
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (mandatory), Photo shop, Coreldraw & In design
• Strong knowledge of print production processes, materials, and special finishes (embossing, foiling, UV, matte/gloss lamination, etc.)
• Experience managing multiple SKUs and tight production timelines
• Strong understanding of packaging structures and dieline development
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
