The Migration Architect Dubai, UAE will lead the strategy, design, and execution of large-scale workload and data center migrations. This role requires deep expertise in VMware platforms including vSphere, NSX-T, and VMware Cloud Director, with responsibility for building migration strategies, designing architectures, and ensuring seamless execution with minimal business disruption.

* Lead assessment and discovery of existing environments, identifying dependencies and migration readiness
* Develop migration roadmaps, strategies, and execution plans for enterprise workloads
* Design architecture and select tools and methodologies to meet project goals
* Prepare HLD and LLD documentation for migration, infrastructure, and connectivity
* Oversee migration waves and provide technical leadership during execution and cutover events
* Establish standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for repeatable success
* Collaborate with application, security, networking, and operations teams for seamless transitions
* Design identity and access integration strategies for workloads in target environments
Ideal Profile

* 10+ years in IT infrastructure with 5+ years in large-scale workload migration
* Expert knowledge of VMware stack: vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, and VMware Cloud Director
* Proven success in leading migrations to VMware private cloud environments
* Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, BGP, VPN), connectivity (MPLS, Ipsec), and storage (SAN, NAS)
* Skilled in enterprise backup, compliance, and secure migration design
* Hands-on with VMware HCX, VCDA, vSphere Replication, Zerto, or other migration tools
* Familiarity with vRealize Operations, vRNI, and discovery platforms
* Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux systems
* VMware VCP or VCAP certification preferred
* Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, or multi-cloud environments is an advantage
* Strong leadership, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
