Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Leasing Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in real estate accounting, handling lease agreements, rental collections, and financial reporting. They will be responsible for managing lease transactions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records related to property leasing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lease Accounting & Financial Reporting:
o Maintain accurate accounting records for lease agreements, rental income, and lease-related expenses.
o Prepare and analyze lease-related financial statements, including rent roll and cash flow reports.
o Reconcile lease-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (IFRS 16).
• Tenant Billing & Collections:
o Generate invoices for tenants, track rental payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
o Process security deposits, lease renewals, and terminations in coordination with property managers.
o Manage tenant accounts and ensure timely collection of rent, service charges, and other fees.
• Lease Administration & Compliance:
o Review and process lease agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
o Work closely with property management and leasing teams to update lease terms, amendments, and renewals.
o Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to leasing operations.
• General Accounting & Audits:
o Post journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.
o Assist in financial audits by providing necessary documentation related to leasing activities.
o Support tax compliance related to rental income and VAT (if applicable).
