Position: English Language Learning Lead

• Collaborate with the wider Product and Growth teams to define the opportunities, requirements and digital content strategy for native and non-native English Language Learning products.
• Establish and maintain a vision for quality educational content; leading a team of Content Specialists towards that vision; providing clear direction for what needs to be done to meet KPIs; providing day-to-day leadership and direction for projects and tasks.
• Take responsibility for the realization of a product from brief and for its consistency, accuracy, legal acceptability and appropriateness to the intended market
• Lead the development of product concepts for approval – including scoping, costing, market testing and sample design creation.

• Contribute to the creation of the product development strategy and new product roadmap, including identifying ideas for product improvements in conjunction with the product management team
• Promote a deep understanding of subject and learning needs to identify and promote opportunities for Alef to deliver content that is effective for learning
• Establish, maintain and coach standardized processes and quality standards for subject specific content aligned with the new product direction; take responsibility for the development and review of content; brief resources clearly and in line with approved concept, work with and support resource teams for the duration of the development period to ensure that the project develops to brief and on time.
• Work thoroughly and with detail on development components to ensure suitability, originality and alignment of all content for learning & assessment deliverables
• Manage review process with SMEs and stakeholders to provide feedback and directional input for development, communicating constructive criticism sensitively and confidently to content creators and reviewers.
• Plan the work for the Content Development Specialists and liaise with the Product Operations Manager and Alef production team to facilitate implementation
• Input into business documents such as RFPs, Business Cases, and Process Documentation.
• Liaise with the wider Alef Product, Growth and Service teams to share information as required.
