Job Description

About the Role:

We are a fast-growing NBFC and part of the Kirloskar Group, building a strong portfolio in Supply Chain Finance (SCF) across India. We also provide working capital solutions - Inventory Funding, Dealer Finance, Distributor Finance, and Channel Finance - to dealers, distributors, and channel partners of large anchor corporates.

The Zonal Credit Manager - Supply Chain Finance will lead the credit function for the SCF and working capital portfolio across the given zone. The role owns underwriting quality, approval decisions within delegated authority, and the health of the zonal book across all anchor programs and their vendor, dealer and distributor ecosystems. As a senior credit leader, the ZCM balances business growth with portfolio quality, leads a team of credit professionals, and acts as the zone's principal credit interface with Business, Risk, Operations and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Underwriting & Approval Authority:

  • Own end-to-end credit appraisal for all SCF and working capital proposals from the Zone, including anchor programs, vendor / dealer / distributor limits and direct working capital facilities.
  • Approve proposals within delegated financial authority; review and recommend higher-ticket and exception cases to the National Credit Manager / Credit Committee with a clear risk view.
  • Evaluate anchors and counterparties on financials, banking conduct, cash flow cycles, GST and bureau data, promoter background and industry outlook.
  • Ensure quality, consistency and timeliness of credit notes across the zone; drive TAT and first-time-right standards.

Program Structuring & Anchor Evaluation:

  • Assess and structure anchor-led programs: program limits, eligibility norms, tenor, margins, pricing guardrails and security / escrow mechanisms.
  • Structure invoice discounting, dealer and distributor finance, inventory funding and revolving facilities in line with trade cycles and transaction flows.
  • Evaluate anchor concentration, recourse / non-recourse structures and interdependencies within supply chain ecosystems.
  • Provide inputs on new programs, sector entries and product variations relevant to Zone markets.

Portfolio Quality & Risk Management:

  • Own the Zone portfolio health: delinquency, NPA, credit cost, concentration (anchor, sector, geography) and utilisation against defined thresholds.
  • Run the zonal early warning signals (EWS) framework, including stock and receivable audits, banking / GST triangulation and anchor payment behaviour; drive timely corrective action.
  • Lead periodic portfolio reviews, renewals, limit enhancements / reductions and watchlist management.
  • Work with Collections and Legal on stressed accounts, restructuring proposals and recovery strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to credit policy, RBI guidelines and audit requirements; close audit observations within timelines.

Stakeholder Management & Governance:

  • Act as the zonal credit partner to Business, guiding sourcing towards target segments and the approved risk appetite.
  • Present zonal cases and portfolio reviews to the Credit Committee and senior management.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Operations, Legal and Technology on documentation, disbursement controls, LOS / LMS improvements and policy changes.
  • Provide inputs to credit policy and product programs based on zonal market insights and portfolio learnings.
  • Own zonal MIS and dashboards on pipeline, approvals, TAT, deviations and portfolio quality.

Team Leadership & Capability Building:

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of credit managers / analysts across North Zone locations; set goals and allocate work.
  • Drive consistent underwriting standards through case reviews, training and knowledge sharing.
  • Build capability and succession within the team for higher delegated authority.
  • Foster a culture of credit discipline, integrity and accountability.
