- Are you passionate about coding and eager to grow in a dynamic startup that values innovation and purpose ALOI is seeking two passionate Software Developer Interns to join the team as Full Stack Developers. You will collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js, Java, and related technologies. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in both backend and frontend development, working with modern frameworks, databases, and cloud services. The position is an internship based in Guwahati, Assam, with a duration of 6 months. The stipend offered is up to 7,000 per intern, and there are 2 positions available for immediate joining.
ALOI is Northeast India's first dedicated homestay booking platform, focused on connecting travelers with authentic experiences. The mission is to help travelers discover homestays where they can immerse themselves in the charm, diversity, and cuisine of the region, while uplifting local communities and promoting responsible tourism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using Node.js (Express.js) and Java (Spring Boot).
- Work on frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
- Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in both backend and frontend code.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
- Learn and implement best coding practices and software development methodologies.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
- Document development processes and technical specifications.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript (Node.js) and Java (Spring Boot).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and MVC design pattern.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL).
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Google Firebase) is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
Eligibility:
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
