Job Title: Senior Finance Consultant (QuickBooks Specialist)
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time | Reports to: CFO & CEO
Industry: Staffing & Consulting
Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8pm - 5am (India Time)
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable finance professional to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, overseeing accounting processes, and providing financial insights to support leadership decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Daily Accounting
- Manage all financial transactions in QuickBooks (Online preferred)
- Record and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loans
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Manage invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
- Coordinate payroll and prepare related journal entries
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Generate custom financial reports for leadership as needed
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal company policies
- Assist with tax preparation and coordinate with external CPA
- Maintain organized financial documentation and audit trails
- Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls
Controller-Level Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis and strategic insights
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Monitor KPIs and overall financial performance
- Support business decisions with data-driven recommendations
- Oversee financial systems and process improvements

Required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Strong expertise in QuickBooks (Online preferred)
- Extensive experience with US GAAP and US-based accounting practices
- Proven experience in financial reporting and account reconciliations
- US industry experience is required
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and formulas preferred)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in industries such as staffing, consulting, or professional services
- CPA or advanced certification (especially for controller-level candidates)
