Job Description
Job Summary
The Dean of Pharmacy will provide strategic leadership, academic oversight, and operational management for the School of Pharmacy. The role involves steering academic programs, fostering research excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong industry and clinical partnerships to enhance learning outcomes and student success.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Provide visionary leadership for all academic programs within the School of Pharmacy.
- Oversee curriculum development, review, and accreditation processes.
- Ensure academic quality standards and promote innovative teaching and learning practices.
Faculty & Staff Management
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members.
- Promote a collaborative and research-driven academic environment.
- Support faculty development, training, and performance management.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure the schools compliance with national regulatory bodies (PCI/AICTE/NAAC/other relevant authorities).
- Lead the preparation and submission of accreditation and inspection documentation.
Research & Innovation
- Promote interdisciplinary research and secure research funding.
- Encourage publication, patents, conferences, and collaborations with industry and healthcare institutions.
Industry & Clinical Partnerships
- Build and maintain partnerships with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and research organizations.
- Facilitate internships, clinical training, and placement opportunities for students.

- Oversee student recruitment, academic advising, performance monitoring, and career development initiatives.
- Ensure a supportive environment for student welfare and co-curricular activities.
Strategic & Administrative Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the schools annual budget.
- Participate in university-level committees and strategic planning.
- Drive new initiatives, expansion plans, and program enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
- PhD in Pharmacy or a related discipline (mandatory).
- Minimum 15–20 years of academic experience, with significant leadership experience in a Pharmacy institution.
- Strong track record in research, publications, and academic administration.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (PCI/AICTE/UGC).
