Senior Data Engineer (Tableau & Databricks)

Job Summary

The Senior Data Engineer will lead complex analytics programs and deliver enterprise-grade BI and forecasting solutions with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:

Define and implement best practices to generate accurate analytics, reports, visualizations, and dashboards.

Liaise with stakeholders within the company to understand their needs and concerns and develop concise analytics to provide actionable insights to influence product strategy and performance.

Analyze and define success and performance metrics for current and new business initiatives, with a specific focus on A/B tests.

Use data visualization tools to explain your results simply and succinctly to technical, non-technical, and senior audiences.

Dissect and solve complex business problems using analytical and quantitative approaches to identify patterns and correlations in large, complex datasets.

Guide business leaders with confidence in your analytics and reporting to ensure smooth execution.

Skills & Experience required:

Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a data analyst role.

Minimum of 2 years hands on experience with Cloud Services (Databricks).

Travel required up to 25%

Working capabilities in scripting languages such as Python.

Strong experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau.

Strong capabilities in SQL and experience working with structured and semi-structured data.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with Agile/Scrum experience.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with a proven record for identifying and diagnosing problems, and solving complex problems with simple, logical solutions.

Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information and concepts to multiple organization levels.

A bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, or other quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, physics or engineering.
