Job Purpose:
- The BU Finance Lead role exists to own and lead the strategic annual financial planning and analysis workstream for all entities/units of Apollo Knowledge. The individual will work closely with BU Head, Group CEO/CFO for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the assigned BU.
Key Duties / Accountabilities:
- Manages financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for all entities at corporate level. Works closely with group CEO/CFO.
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
- Leads real-time financial performance monitoring and escalates any financial issues to management.

- Partner directly with the Corp finance teams and other central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
- Manage accounting - payables & receivables functions with impeccable process efficiency and eye for controls,cashflows and risk management
- Dive deeply into financial data and act as a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
- Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization.
- Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
- Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
- Completes market research and comparable company analysis.
- Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance.
- Presents detailed monthly financial reports to leadership.
- Collaborates with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Critical Experiences:
- A master's degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent professional experience is required.
- MBA Finance is preferred (CA is not mandatory) and must have at least 8+ years of total experience of which at least 3 to 5 years of strong, relevant financial planning experience (post qualification).
- Must have independently led at least 1 or 2 cycles of annual business planning for mid-large-sized organizations (turnover of ~100 Cr or more with multiple/diverse lines of business/service).
- Start-up experience with having multi-tasking ability across diverse areas in Finance viz., FPNA, AP/AR, Cashflow Management & Internal Controls
