About You
The Billing Operations Specialist ensures accurate, timely, and compliant billing for Managed Services customers. This role manages automated order flows across multiple systems, executes invoice cycles on the 1st, 10th, and end-of-month, resolves discrepancies with vendors and internal teams, and supports month-end close. Success requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive cross-functional resolution.
What Youll Do And How Youll Have An Impact
  • Own the end-to-end process flow for Managed Services billing cycles.
  • Analyze and process billing reports; investigate anomalies and resolve variances.
  • Manage the billing queue and order types (adds, changes, disconnects) to ensure timely, accurate billing.
  • Oversee automated order flow across systems; validate data integrity.
  • Manage Aging report and perform collections outreach; verify remittances in Sage before action.
  • Respond to NOC inquiries with accurate site/circuit details to support service restoration.
  • Partner with Project Management to coordinate and execute disconnect orders.
  • Create individualized invoices in Excel for Prologics warehouse/hardware procurement and shipping; create corresponding invoices in Rev.io.
  • Execute billing cycles on the 1st, 10th, and calendar month; generate and distribute invoices; record variance explanations on revenue spreadsheets for close.
  • Work with vendors to resolve billing issues; initiate emergency payments to broadband carriers as needed.
  • Open and manage Rev.io support tickets to remediate billing platform issues.
  • Update new account labels in portals to clearly identify billed customers.
  • Build/modify packages in Rev.io; review/reverse transactions; rebill MRCs; make pricing changes as required.
  • Support audits, reporting, and ad hoc assignments.
  • Handle AT&T Ariba entries for Managed Services invoices; track approvals, rejections, funding, and respond to AT&T Account Manager inquiries.
What Were Looking For
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional logic, data cleansing).
  • Basic Microsoft Access knowledge (queries preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Rev.io for billing configuration, adjustments, and rebills.
  • Familiarity with Netsuite for AR and payment verification.
  • Understanding of order-to-cash processes and AR best practices (aging management, collections).
  • Experience reconciling data across multiple operational systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with timely, proactive follow-up.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills in deadline-driven cycles.
  • Background in telecom billing (MRC/OTC), service package configuration, and disconnect workflows.
  • Familiarity with NOC processes, circuit/site metadata, and vendor portals such as AT&T Ariba.
  • Experience in process documentation and continuous improvement.
