Job Description

As a Data Analyst Trainee (Remote) at our forward-thinking tech company, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced data analysts and contribute to transforming data into actionable insights. Your role will involve collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting on data from various sources, allowing you to enhance your analytical skills and make meaningful contributions to real business outcomes.

Responsibilities will include assisting in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, performing data analysis to identify trends and patterns, creating and maintaining dashboards and reports, developing basic data models, and supporting exploratory data analysis efforts. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members to identify key performance indicators and business metrics, visualize data through graphs and charts, and maintain data quality standards.
To qualify for this role, you should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and languages such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R is required, along with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment. Strong communication skills and a passion for learning new analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines and present data insights clearly and concisely.

Preferred skills that would be advantageous for this role include basic knowledge of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing, experience with data wrangling and cleaning techniques, understanding of data storage systems like relational databases, familiarity with machine learning concepts or algorithms, and proficiency in web development frameworks, databases, REST APIs, and front-end technologies.
