ASSOCIATE / ANALYST, INVESTMENT BANKING

THE ROLE:

Produce analysis and transaction materials that are accurate, well-sourced and genuinely useful to clients, investors and the deal team, while developing the judgment and reliability to take on broader responsibility. Build analytical craft. Learn the end-to-end transaction cycle.

Ostara Advisors is building a specialist investment banking franchise at the intersection of deep-tech, sustainability and energy transition: sectors that are reshaping how capital gets deployed, businesses get built and future evolves. The Associates and Analysts form the analytical and technical backbone of the transaction franchise at Ostara Advisors. You will work across financial modelling, valuation, research, transaction materials, diligence and process execution, with exposure to real founders, investors and live transactions.

SPECIALIST SECTORS:

Exposure to emerging businesses in climate tech, deep-tech, sustainability and energy transition.

LIVE TRANSACTIONS:

Real modelling, diligence, investor processes and closing experience.

SENIOR EXPOSURE:

Close interaction with Coverage and Execution Bankers in a lean team.

INVESTOR ECOSYSTEM:

Visibility into how sophisticated investors evaluate companies and transactions.

RESEARCH TOOLS:

Access to Tracxn and other intelligence, and Ostara's research and AI-enabled workflows.

PROGRESSION OPTIONS:

Develop toward stronger execution responsibilities, specialist expertise or eventually developing coverage capability. Accuracy, Dependability and Reliability are the starting points. The goal is analysis that a client, investor or senior banker can trust, understand and act on.

03 - THE MANDATE:

Make the numbers useful. Make the process dependable.

ANALYTICAL CRAFTSMANSHIP:

Build accurate, well-sourced financial and market analysis that can withstand scrutiny.

MODELLING & VALUATION:

Develop strong fundamentals in financial modelling, valuation and comparable-company / precedent-transaction analysis.

RESEARCH & MARKET INTELLIGENCE:

Gather, synthesize and structure industry, company and sector information into useful insight.

MATERIALS & DOCUMENTATION:

Produce clear, accurate, client-ready presentations and transaction documents.

PROCESS DISCIPLINE & RELIABILITY:

Maintain deadlines, documentation standards, data integrity and version control under pressure.

TRANSACTION SUPPORT:

Support execution bankers and coverage bankers across diligence, information flows, investor outreach and transaction coordination.

COMMERCIAL LEARNING:

Understand why the transaction matters, not only what the task is. Surface questions and commercial signals as you gain experience. Ostara Advisors supports multiple legitimate career paths: deeper execution, technical specialization, hybrid execution-and-coverage roles, and for those who demonstrate the capability, progression towards coverage.
