Chief Investment Officer - Specialised Investment Fund

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the investment function for our Special Investment Fund (SIF). The role will be responsible for driving investment strategy, portfolio construction, risk management, and delivering superior risk adjusted returns aligned with investor objectives.
Key Responsibilities :

1. Investment Strategy & Leadership :

- Define and execute the overall investment strategy for the SIF platform

- Identify emerging market opportunities across asset classes (equities, fixed income, structured products, alternatives)

- Provide thought leadership on macroeconomic trends and market outlook
2. Portfolio Management :

- Oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation, and rebalancing strategies

- Ensure optimal diversification and alignment with fund mandates

- Continuously monitor portfolio performance and take corrective actions
3. Research & Analysis :

- Lead in-depth fundamental and quantitative research across sectors

- Evaluate investment opportunities, including direct deals and structured investments

- Maintain strong due diligence frameworks
4. Risk Management & Compliance :

- Establish robust risk management practices and ensure adherence

- Work closely with compliance teams to align with regulatory guidelines (SEBI / AIF norms)

- Monitor market, credit, and liquidity risks
5. Team Leadership :

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing investment team

- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence
6. Investor Relations & Stakeholder Management :

- Engage with HNIs, family offices, and institutional investors

- Present fund performance, strategy, and outlook to stakeholders

- Support fundraising initiatives and product positioning
Key Requirements :

- MBA / CFA / CA or equivalent qualification

- 12- 18 years of experience in asset management, PMS, AIFs, or alternative investments

- Strong track record of managing large investment portfolios

- Deep understanding of Indian financial markets and regulatory environment

- Proven leadership and team management experience

- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
