Controls Software Engineer

• Develop and deliver standard control software in line with defined project plans
• Co-develop successive software releases with product champions
• Design, enhance, test, and support control software based on system layouts
• Ensure software quality through structured testing and documentation
• Develop tools for rapid software deployment and reuse
• Improve and stabilise existing systems through performance reviews
• Support customer site commissioning when required
• Contribute to control software standards and knowledge sharing
  

• PLC programming experience in material handling or intralogistics systems
• Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal
• Knowledge of industrial networks (Profinet, Profibus, ASi)
• Experience with higher-level languages (C, C++, VB, Java)
• Exposure to HMI/SCADA systems and automated testing (preferred)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional, global teams

Bachelor s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Honours-level qualifications preferred)
