Work Setup:
- Initial 6 months: Work from office in Chennai.
- Post 6 months: Remote work with occasional office visits for client meetings or US team interactions.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager - Audits and Assurance to support our Affordable Housing clients in the US. The role involves managing and leading audit engagements, providing strategic assurance services, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including HUD, LIHTC, and other housing-specific guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audits for affordable housing clients, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and industry regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with affordable housing developers, property management companies, and other stakeholders in the US.
- Ensure compliance with US-based affordable housing regulations (HUD, LIHTC, etc.) and other industry-specific accounting frameworks.
- Manage and mentor a team of auditors, providing guidance on technical issues, deadlines, and client interactions.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, audit findings, and recommendations for clients. Provide actionable insights to enhance client operations and compliance.

- Identify and implement improvements in audit processes, methodologies, and client service.
Qualifications:
- Education: CA/ACCA/CMA/CPA/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in audits, with at least 3 years focused on affordable housing or similar real estate sectors. Experience with US affordable housing regulations (HUD, LIHTC) is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US accounting standards, auditing techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with affordable housing finance, tax credits, and related funding mechanisms.
- Certifications: CPA or similar professional accounting certification (AHP, CAM) is preferred.
