ESG Head

Overview As ESG Competency Head, you will have an opportunity to conduct customer engagements and shape & deliver the Sustainability Innovation program while working with Business Development Managers and other relevant stakeholders, globally. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and lead engagements with Enterprise customers – working with line of business and C-suite executives, enabling opportunities, facilitating sustainability engagements, and driving resultant prototypes & scaled solutions. You will work with managers, employees, customers, and other stakeholders to address the customers approach towards environmental responsibility with the goal to minimize adverse environmental, social or governance impacts and develop sustainability solutions. You will be working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, enterprise technology and sales environment with cross functional teams as many parts of the program will have interdependencies with other teams within the organization. Typically, cross-functional collaboration includes sales leadership, vertical-wise business development teams, solution architects, marketing, partners, professional services, and sales enablement. Key Responsibilities black small square Oversee the overall execution of the organizations Sustainability offerings program and enable customers to meet their sustainability targets & goals. black small square Lead the formulation & development of sustainability strategies and policies, including setting standards for customers. black small square Ensure customers follow industry best practices and are compliant with environmental, social & governance standards and legislations. black small square Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate sustainability performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. black small square Actively network with potential clients and other professionals in the sustainability sector and create business opportunities.

Essential Duties black small square Develop business relationships with leading customer organizations and work with Sales leadership to identify & qualify customers for the Sustainability Innovation program. black small square Lead and coordinate translation of sustainability solutions into working prototypes with relevant engineering and services teams as well as partners.black small square Build value propositions & develop business cases and effectively track & articulate the value of ongoing engagements including, major wins. black small square Train & enable local sales teams to help qualify customers, and lead elements of digital innovation engagement. black small square Work with the Alliance management teams to identify, engage, and enable partners who can accelerate an approach towards sustainability innovation. black small square Conduct customer briefings & accelerate the organizations ESG solution-led initiatives through participation in Sustainability events, Thought leadership articles etc. black small square Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, service teams, legal, support, etc.). black small square Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the emerging Hi-Tech industry vertical. black small square Draft and prepare reports, presentations, proposals, and recommendations to the Chief Sustainability Officer, C-Suite of client organizations, and other key stakeholders. black small square Prepare documentation required for project funding for various customers or sustainability initiatives including proposals and grant applications. black small square Develop and maintain appropriate documentation & records, including budgets and other financials. black small square Consider sustainability proposals with attention to factors such as cost effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs. black small square Evaluate efficacy of sustainability programs; recommend and implement improvements as necessary. black small square Identify creative ways in which the customers can balance business obligations with the goal of respecting, supporting, and adhering to the local & global regulations.

Skills & Qualities black small square Leadership experience as well as strong verbal and written communications skills are a must. black small square Domain & Functional expertise in corporate sustainability as well as Sustainability solutions. black small square Experience in ESG business development, consulting, product management & sustainability innovation. (IT solution development is a plus) black small square Superlative and creative problem-solving and analytical skills. black small square Thorough working knowledge of sustainability practices, and applicable laws and regulations. black small square Ability to analyze and understand research to identify relevant and valuable information. black small square Extremely proficient with MS Office or related software. black small square Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. black small square Ability to create, interpret, and execute a budget. black small square Presentation skills to deliver proposals to varying groups of individuals. Qualifications black small square A Bachelors degree from a recognized institution or university. black small square A Masters degree in Environment, Management or equivalent (Background in Quantitative field such as Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics etc. is a plus). black small square 10+ years of relevant work experience in enterprise markets. Breadth and depth in multiple business verticals and industry ecosystems. black small square Published thought leadership in sustainability transformation. black small square Passion for sustainability – deep experience & understanding of enterprise operations (including, characteristics of large & global businesses) and delivery & implementation of successful sustainability projects.
