Role Overview:

As the Head Applications - Retail, Corporate and New Initiatives (IT Applications - BFSI), you will spearhead the strategic direction, development, and operational excellence of IT applications supporting our Retail, Corporate, and New Initiatives business lines. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure our application landscape aligns with business objectives, drives innovation, and delivers exceptional customer experiences. Your leadership will directly impact the efficiency, scalability, and security of our core banking operations, contributing significantly to the company's overall success and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the IT application strategy for Retail, Corporate, and New Initiatives, aligning with overall business goals and technology roadmap.
- Lead a team of IT professionals in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of critical business applications.
- Manage the IT application budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee IT project management activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating them into effective IT solutions.
- Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating new technologies and applications that can enhance business processes and customer experiences.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service level agreements are met, and value for money is achieved.
- Ensure the security and compliance of IT applications, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement business continuity plans for critical IT applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations in the event of a disaster.
- Lead IT consulting engagements to provide expert advice and guidance to business units on technology-related matters.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation within the BFSI sector.
- Proven expertise in IT program and project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance requirements within the BFSI industry.
- Adept at vendor management, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and relationship building.
- Proficient in budget management and financial planning, with the ability to optimise resource allocation and control costs.
- Experience in business continuity planning and disaster recovery, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Adaptable to working in a hybrid work environment, collaborating effectively with both on-site and remote teams.
