Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Piping Design Engineer to join our team at AVIS Enertech Pvt Limited. As a Piping Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems and components for various projects in the Oil and Gas industry. This is a mid-level position, requiring 4 to 6 years of experience in piping design and engineering. The job is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and is a full-time employment opportunity.
Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in piping design and engineering
  
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Bentley AutoPIPE
• In-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards, such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.8
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment specifications
• Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques for piping systems
  

Roles And Responsibilities

• Design and develop piping systems and components for various projects in the Oil and Gas industry
• Prepare detailed piping layout drawings, including isometrics and bill of materials
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Perform piping stress analysis and recommend design modifications as necessary
• Review and approve vendor drawings and documents
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide technical support to the construction team
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on design issues
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the design process
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate piping design with overall project design
