Credit Underwriting Specialist

What role you will play in team: You'll be an integral part of our underwriting team, ensuring the creditworthiness of loan applicants.

What you will do: You'll assess loan applications, verify information, and make sound credit decisions to minimize risk.

Key responsibility:

• Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify borrower information through various sources (credit bureaus, banks, etc.).
• Assess credit risk based on established underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Make sound credit decisions, approving or denying loan applications.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all underwriting activities.
• Identify and report any potential fraud or irregularities.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in credit underwriting, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of credit scoring models and risk assessment techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
