Introduction:
TTRO Large Holdings Regulatory Reporting Function is responsible to capture, monitor and report Barclays’ holdings and transactions in the Equity and Equity-related securities of publicly listed companies to a variety of global regulators. The team mission is to support Major Share holdings, Short Selling, Take over obligations within Americas, EMEA and Asia. The teams’ play an integral role in ensuring that Large Holdings Ops meets its regulatory reporting obligation globally. There are a number of regulatory rules that define the product set for reporting requirements. Barclays is accountable for ensuring its reporting to regulators, recognised exchanges and issuers is accurate and submitted within strict regulatory deadlines.
The team consist of talented and highly motivated individuals who are extensively involved in preparation and submission of reports, as well enhance control around these processes. We seek a Assistant Vice President with excellent leadership and managerial skills that can provide effective supervision and judgement with respect to team functional mandate.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure daily Schedule Adherence. Answer queries raised by the Client & Advisors related to the process
- Take escalated calls and return calls when a message is taken. Perform regular Quality checks for the Team
- Monitor performance for all Advisors on a monthly basis. Convey feedback received from Quality to all Advisors
Weekly Update on performance levels to the .Address administrative issues arising out of day-to The AVP role within this team includes the following responsibilities:
- Supervising the daily work in the team, ensuring that functions has proper coverage, escalating concerns to management.
- Reviewing and enhancing processes, SOPs, checklists and reports to ensure they are accurate and current.
- Championing an effective escalation process and practise within the team, including a thorough analysis of data quality issues, structural issues and exceptions; preparation of incident reports; recommendation of corrective and preventative actions.
Proactively work on migrating regulatory activities/processes across regions that are performed by LH Ops.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree level or 9+ years relevant experience within a similar / comparable banking environment
- Ability to network and build rapport and credibility quickly with a variety of key stakeholders (Business, Compliance, Legal, Ops Senior Management, IT).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, including and not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Strong regulatory knowledge of trade and transaction reporting for Large Holdings regulatory reporting like Major share holdings reporting, Short selling Reporting & Take over reporting
- Understanding of Trade Repository flow and requirements.
- Sound understanding of financial products – Equity , derivatives instruments.
- Time Management and deadline delivery.
- Candidate should have data analytical skills to crunch bigger data sets.
- Innovative with a proven track record of implementing change to drive process improvements
- Sound business judgement and a willingness to exercise it. The candidate must have a professional demeanour and possess considerable presence, impact and gravitas that will command respect within the organisation and with regulators.
- Be able to work constructively across Barclays, incorporating the needs of diverse stakeholders. The individual must have a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, a flexible, consultative working style and possesses the ability to drive change where required.
- The candidate must be used to working to tight deadlines, be results and performance focused, be able to communicate with purpose and clarity both in written and verbal formats.
- The ideal candidate must be ambitious and hard working with great attention to detail.
- Experience working within a top-tier banking institution or equivalent. The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related discipline
The candidate must be competent in MS application, Particularly Excel, Power point and word
