Financial Planning Analyst

Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports and MIS to support management in strategic and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis, with proven expertise in Excel-based reporting, and a solid understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and General Ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain Monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management review.
• Conduct segmental / departmental / course-level financial analysis to assess performance, cost structures, and revenue streams.
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with department heads.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in the General Ledger (GL)

• Prepare and review Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
• Develop and automate Excel-based financial models and templates for reporting and analysis.
• Present financial information in a clear and concise manner using visual formats (charts, dashboards, PowerPoint).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting processes and enhance data accuracy.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent command over MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Conditional formulas, Power Query, Charts).

• Working knowledge of accounting principles, GL, P&L, and Balance Sheet preparation.

• Effective communication and presentation skills.

Qualification & Experience:

• CA (Inter) or equivalent professional qualification (MBA Finance preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis / MIS / Reporting roles as an Independent Contributor.
