Accounting Consultant - US GAAP

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead a team of consultants delivering outsourced accounting services to our clients. This role requires strong expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), deep knowledge of accounting standards, and proven experience working with US-based clients. The ideal candidate will ensure operational excellence, compliance, and high-quality service delivery while acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for US client finance teams, understanding their requirements and delivering tailored solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
• Provide advisory support on accounting processes, compliance, and operational improvements.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting consultants and operations agents.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet client deliverables and deadlines.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Accounting Operations:

• Oversee AP/AR processes across multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Monitor reconciliations, cash flow, and aging reports; proactively resolve discrepancies.
• Drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Support audits and regulatory requirements for client accounts.
• Maintain high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• CA or CPA preferred; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a client-facing role.
• Strong expertise in AP/AR operations and accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS).
• Proven experience working with US clients in outsourced accounting or consulting environments.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAGE, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks or similar).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
