Role Overview

We are looking for a Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager Finance (Fixed Asset Management & Accounting) with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in fixed asset accounting across different geographies. The ideal candidate should have expertise in financial controls, variance analysis, compliance, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities

Fixed Asset Management & Accounting

• Ensure accurate tracking, capitalisation, and retirement of fixed assets while maintaining compliance with Schedule II of the Companies Act, 2013.
• Perform monthly R2R close activities, including accounting, reconciliations, accruals, amortisation, journal entries, and adjustments.
• Conduct variance analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L and Balance Sheet movements.
• Oversee the capitalisation process based on work completion certificates and track assets under progress until completion.

  ge a fixed asset tracking tool and ensure periodic physical verification reviews.
• Conduct impairment reviews for intangible assets and ensure timely adjustment.
• Monitor internal controls, procedures, and compliance for asset recording and disposal, suggesting improvements where needed.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Prepare audit schedules related to fixed assets as per IGAAP and respond to auditor queries.
• Ensure adherence to SOX, internal controls, and statutory guidelines for financial compliance.
• Support tax audits and regulatory reporting by ensuring timely and accurate data submission.

Process Improvements & Automation.

• Identify opportunities to streamline fixed asset processes and drive automation initiative.
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
• Develop MIS reports and dashboards for management presentation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2-5 years of experience in fixed asset management and accounting.
• Strong understanding of Schedule II of the Companies Act, 2013 and fixed asset lifecycle accounting.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial variance analysis.
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent fixed asset modules.
• Hands-on experience with audit support, SOX compliance, and tax audits.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skill.
• Experience in financial process automation and system implementation is a plus.
