Job Description

As a Vehicle Testing Engineer based in Pune with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in vehicle testing, your primary responsibility will be to support the proposal of suitable brake systems for customer new model vehicles by utilizing appropriate input data and datasheet software to meet regulatory and customer requirements. You will also assist in the validation of brake systems on vehicles using the necessary tools and instruments, analyzing the results to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards.

Your role will involve conducting requirement analysis and proposal development, where you will study RFQs, clarify customer requirements, and coordinate for JRN initiation to ensure accurate input data for datasheet preparation. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a Design Validation Plan (DVP) for brake system installation and validation, organizing test vehicles, instruments, and resources for testing, overseeing vehicle preparation, and executing tests as per the defined plan.
Furthermore, you will be expected to compile and process test data post-test execution, perform in-depth analysis of test results, and document test performance characteristics to establish outcomes. Collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams is also crucial, as you will arrange necessary equipment and samples for joint vehicle development trials and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful execution.

Key skills and competencies required for this role include hands-on experience in vehicle testing and brake system validation, proficiency in using vehicle testing instruments and data analysis tools, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and customers, as well as knowledge of regulatory and customer requirements related to braking systems.
