YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary
Leverage best-in-class innovation & application expertise to realize individual customer projects, to increase customer loyalty and to fully support key suppliers.
Plan, lead and drive all technical aspects of the Innovation & Application Centers (IAC’s) in APAC with a focus on successful technical pipeline, project management and conversion. To align and support the business growth and strategy of the C&C business in the respective countries and across APAC. Share best practices, identify, and develop new product applications, provide technical solutions and trainings to stakeholders across the region.
Work collaboratively with the Global C&C team to add value create best practice.

Lead APAC’s IACs to support the commercial function:

• To manage the APAC wide Salesforce VAS (technical service requests) and report output to management and key stakeholders.
• In line with the company’s sustainability policy and targets ensure that the IAC’s are inline and have projects to meet these goals.
• To develop and maintain a database to capture the coatings and construction formulations and know-how.
• To develop and extend our inherent application development capability across the coatings and construction market sectors.
• To work closely with suppliers on innovation / new formulation development and formulation optimization.
• To identify emerging customer application needs and trends in focus industries with all stakeholders.

• To provide technical solutions & application training to the technical, commercial team & customers
• To learn new technologies and transferring knowledge to the technical, sales & marketing teams.
• To develop proof of concept prototype formulations to grow key supplier’s technologies.
• To identify opportunities for new products or applications from working with our key suppliers & understanding regulatory changes and emerging market trends.
• To undertake joint visits with commercial teams when required for technical presentation to customers.
• To investigate customer’s complaints on quality issues and regulatory enquiries.
• To work with marketing to proactively develop marketing tools and demonstration samples.
  

Project/Technical system management

• Administrating the technical project management & resource system in Europe
• Compilation of monthly technical reports
• Maintenance and update of the Working Standards and procedures document.
• Ensure that all EM laboratories comply with Working standards and procedures. ones.
• Support local technical teams for equipment selection and purchase.
• Support generation of APAC C&CCAPEX plan
  

C&C Technical team management

• Manage the direction and focus of the APAC IAC’s by working with the local managers creating a cohesive team.
• Create a collaborative environment within APAC sharing best practice and contribute to Global team.
• Ensure that compliance is maintained to Brenntag’s safety & GMP standards
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Candidate with a Degree in Material Science / Chemistry will have an advantage while those with relevant technical experience will also be considered.
• Min 10 years working experience in coatings/construction laboratory/manufacturing with 5 years managerial experiences and broad knowledge of CASE applications/markets.
• Self-motivated, driven, independent and result oriented.
• Good command of spoken English with solid writing skills to write reports, training & procedures materials.
• Effective communication skills to clearly present technical & product information to both internal & external stake holders.
• Ability to travel as required to achieve business objective.
• The ability to lead, work independently and as part of a team, good team player in a multi-cultural environment.
