Chinese Interpreter (Law & Arbitration)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during arbitration hearings, court proceedings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Translate legal documents, contracts, witness statements, and arbitration awards with high accuracy.
• Assist legal teams in cross-border negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality in sensitive legal matters.
• Ensure cultural and linguistic accuracy to avoid misinterpretation in legal contexts.
• Support preparation of case files by translating evidence and correspondence.

• Native/near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, arbitration procedures, and international law.
• Expertise in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation techniques.
• Excellent written translation skills for contracts, judgments, and arbitration documents.
• Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes legal environments.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
