Job Description

In this context, we are looking for a dynamic leader for the role of Instrumentation Manager.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Maintain operational integrity through effective inspection, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
- Define and implement instrumentation standards, procedures, and specifications for assets.
- Collaborate with design, electrical, and process teams to ensure system operability and maintainability.
- Ensure 100% completion of PM/CFT (Preventive Maintenance / Critical Function Testing) for instrumentation equipment.
- Drive reliability improvements through adoption of latest instrumentation technologies.
- Ensure periodic technical training for instrumentation maintenance teams.
Planning:
- Contribute to planning of instrumentation maintenance programs and calibration schedules.
- Assist in planning shutdown activities and instrumentation resource allocation.
- Support budgeting and spare parts forecasting.
Work-site Activity:
- Perform first-line maintenance and fault reporting on field instruments and control systems.
- Monitor routine operations of instrumentation equipment (e.g., transmitters, control valves, analyzers).
- Monitor work sites for compliance with Permit to Work and safety standards.
- Review technical documents (e.g., loop diagrams, datasheets, modification packs).
- Maintain daily instrumentation logs and update maintenance records.
Performance Measurement and Review:
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Assist permit and isolation audits.
- Follow up on safety actions and implement corrective measures.
- Participate in area inspections and safety audit tours.
Communication and Information:
- Attend safety briefings and pre-job safety talks, actively participating.
- Maintain detailed daily logs.
- Liaise closely with other sites and production groups.
Safety:
- Fulfil designated role in emergency response team.
- Carry out instrumentation isolations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond to instrumentation faults and provide safe first-line troubleshooting.
- Support safe energization and de-energization of control systems.
Environment:
- Monitor and control instrumentation systems to minimize emissions and losses.
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards related to process monitoring.

- Use waste management systems for disposal of instrumentation components and materials.
- Record and review performance against regulatory and company targets.
Energy Management:
- Implement energy efficiency initiatives to minimize resource consumption and environmental impact.
- Analyze energy usage patterns and recommend strategies to optimize efficiency and align with sustainability goals.
EmergencyResponse:
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for environmental incidents.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and effective response to environmental emergencies, minimizing impact on personnel, communities, and ecosystems.
Coaching and Development:
- Ability to interact with all staff.
- Actively encourage development of and above core skills.
Qualification Criteria:
- Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Diploma with minimum 2-4 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills in field instruments and control systems.
- Awareness of Indias HSE standards and statutory compliance requirements.
- Good communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
