Vice President - Data Management - Middle Office

A Global Investment Management Firm is seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to join its Public Markets Middle Office as Vice President Data Management/Engineering & Quality. This role will drive the build and evolution of a best-in-class DEQ function in India, ensuring data accuracy, transparency, and operational readiness across the firms books and records in support of clients, investment teams, and traders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and own the data quality framework for reference and transaction data.

Manage and mentor the DEQ team to ensure smooth operations.

Implement robust validation and exception monitoring processes.

Partner with Operations, Business, Technology, and Data Office teams to enhance governance.

Build and deploy dashboards, automated controls, and KPI reporting for senior stakeholders.

Provide leadership and accountability for sensitive datasets powering performance, reporting, and regulatory processes.

What Were Looking For

Strong expertise in data quality principles and governance.

Deep understanding of the investment and trade lifecycle and tax lot recordkeeping.

Familiarity with a wide range of financial products (equities, fixed income, derivatives, loans).

Experience with data quality platforms (Pan DQ, Informatica, PEGA) and BI tools (Alteryx, PowerBI).

Proven track record in process improvement, automation, and AI-driven transformation.

Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
