Head Of Finance

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance function for an MNC based in Abu Dhabi.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position requiring someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while significantly improving reporting, processes and financial visibility across the organisation.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance expertise with commercial awareness and the confidence to operate as a genuine business partner to senior leadership.

The Role

Working closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the financial management and performance of the business unit.

You will lead an established finance team covering accounting, invoicing and collections, while identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day finance function and managing the existing finance team
• Taking ownership of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Reviewing and modernising existing financial reports, templates and processes
• Improving the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial information
• Managing month-end and year-end financial processes

• Providing meaningful financial insight to the General Manager and senior leadership
• Monitoring business performance and identifying financial and commercial risks
• Strengthening financial controls and governance across the business
• Overseeing invoicing, collections and working-capital activities
• Partnering with operational and departmental leaders to improve commercial and financial performance
• Developing the finance team and creating greater structure, accountability and efficiency
• Supporting wider transformation and process-improvement initiatives

About You

We are looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical capability with a practical, hands-on approach.

You will ideally have:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent)
• Significant experience in a Head of Finance, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar leadership position
• Currently based in the UAE, with experience managing finance within an operationally complex UAE business
• Strong management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting capabilities
• A proven track record of improving reporting processes, templates and financial controls
• Experience managing and developing finance teams
• Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders
• The ability to move comfortably between detailed financial work and strategic business discussions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
