Capitalmind recently received an in-principle approval from SEBI to launch a Mutual Fund. As part of the setup process of the Mutual Fund, Capitalmind is looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead the Finance function of the Mutual Funds operations which would encompass the Asset Management Company and the individual schemes/funds.

Position summary: Looking for an experienced Finance Director to oversee financial strategy, operations, and planning of the AMC Company and the schemes/funds launched by the AMC. As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in running day-to-day financial operations and various strategic initiatives of the organization and the schemes to ensure their financial health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

?Financial Strategy & Leadership

?Financial Planning & Analysis - Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

?Financial Reporting - Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual financials for internal consumption and external submissions

?Managing scheme financials diligently on a frequent basis to ensure no breach of SEBI mandated expense ratios

?Financial risk management:

oDaily/Weekly liaison with Fund Accountant and internal Operations team for ensuring accurate calculation of NAV and provisioning of expenses

oOverseeing and assisting in internal and statutory audits of AMC and schemes

oContinuous monitoring relevant metrics to ensure balance sheet and cashflow strength

?Regulatory Submissions/Compliance

?Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support decision making. Create performance tracking reports for the management and the AMC Board.

?Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial resources and processes.

?Stakeholder Engagement and Management

?Operational Oversight and drive improvements in financial systems and processes

Requirements:

?Advanced degree in finance and Accounting (CA or equivalent)

?Minimum of 5 years post qualification professional experience as a senior finance function professional or equivalent

?Proven experience in strategic planning, financial management, and budget oversight

?Proven experience in handling statutory and internal audits

?In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, Ind AS, taxation, financial regulations and statutory compliance

?Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

?Experience in the Asset Management (Mutual Fund, PMS, AIF) industry will be beneficial but not mandatory

?Ability to manage the finance function with small team
