What Youll Be Doing
We are seeking an experienced SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Techno-Functional consultant to own and drive the payroll application landscape from a business, functional, and technical perspective.
This role acts as a strategic bridge between HR/Payroll business stakeholders and IT, providing advanced advisory, solution leadership, and application governance. The individual will function as a trusted consultant and escalation point, ensuring that the ECP platform is stable, optimized, and aligned with business needs, data integrity standards, and global best practices.
Beyond support, the role focuses on continuous improvement, solution design leadership ensuring the system evolves to meet changing business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnership & Strategic Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR and Payroll leadership, influencing decisions on system capabilities, process optimization, and roadmap
- Develop deep understanding of end-to-end HR/payroll business processes and translate them into scalable system solutions
- Lead discussions on process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements
- Drive adoption of best practices in payroll operations, data governance, and system usage
- Application Ownership & Advanced Support
- Own the ECP application landscape, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous availability
- Serve as the highest escalation point within the business for complex payroll, integration, and system issues
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents impacting payroll operations
- Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics for payroll support
- Techno-Functional Leadership
- Provide expert-level guidance and support on:
- Payroll schemas, PCRs, and wage type design
- Payroll Control Center (PCC)
- Time integration and benefits processing
- Posting, finance integration, and retro processing
- Lead solution design and configuration governance, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
- Oversee and validate functional specifications and technical designs
- Integration, Data & System Governance
- Ensure seamless integration between ECP, Employee Central, Time systems, and third-party applications
- Drive data quality, consistency, and audit readiness across payroll processes
- Define and enforce data governance and configuration standards
- Oversee resolution of complex data, interface, and reconciliation issues
- Continuous Improvement & Transformation
- Lead enhancement initiatives, system optimizations, and release management activities
- Identify opportunities for automation, process efficiency, and user experience improvements
- Support transformation programs, upgrades, and cloud HR initiatives
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Extensive experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and SAP HCM Payroll
- Deep expertise in:
- Payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types
- Payroll Control Center (PCC)
- Time and benefits integration
- Payroll posting and finance integration
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-country payroll environments
- Strong ability to analyze, debug, and resolve complex payroll and system issues end-to-end
- Solid understanding of:
- Integrations (SAP Integration Suite / CPI, APIs)
- Data flows and system architecture
- Ability to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions
- Extensive experience in Application Support leadership roles
- Managed incident, problem, and change management processes at scale
- Experience in implementations, rollouts, and transformation programs
- Strong understanding of service management frameworks (ITIL preferred)

- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll Certification
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, HR, or related field
- Exposure to Middle East or multi-country payroll environments
- Experience working in Agile/Hybrid delivery models
- Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders
- Strong ownership mindset with accountability for outcomes
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities
- Experience with Employee Central ,Time Management solutions and SAP Analytics Cloud(SAC).
- Knowledge of tools such as OneReach, Jira, or DevOps/ALM tools
- Exposure to digital transformation and HR cloud strategy initiatives
