About The Role
The Associate Professor / Professor of Law role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Mohali district. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, including lectures, seminars, and tutorials in areas such as Constitutional Law and Criminal Law. The faculty member will supervise student research, guide dissertations, and contribute to curriculum development and academic reforms. Daily responsibilities include conducting scholarly research, publishing in reputable journals, mentoring learners, participating in academic committees, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance activities. The role also involves engaging with the legal community, organizing academic events, and contributing to the overall development of the School of Law.
Responsibilities
Designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate law courses.Supervising student research and guiding dissertations.Contributing to curriculum development and academic reforms.Conducting scholarly research and publishing in reputable journals.Mentoring learners and participating in academic committees.Supporting accreditation and quality assurance activities.Engaging with the legal community and organizing academic events.Contributing to the overall development of the School of Law.
Qualifications
Strong academic and professional foundation in Law, with specialization in areas such as Constitutional Law and Criminal Law.Demonstrated excellence in Teaching, including course design, classroom delivery, and learner assessment.Proven Research skills, with a record of publications, conference presentations, or funded projects.Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to support diverse learners and collaborate with colleagues.Relevant academic qualifications (LL.M and Ph.D. in Law or equivalent) and eligibility as per regulatory bodies such as UGC/BCI.Experience in academic administration, curriculum development, and outcome-based education is an advantage.Ability to engage with industry and legal practitioners, and contribute to community outreach and legal awareness initiatives.
