Job Description
- Role Overview:
As a Senior Manager of Security Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you will step up as a tech leader and innovator, leveraging your knowledge and mentorship to lead teams to excellence in this high-impact role. Your responsibilities will include providing technical coaching and advisory for multiple technical teams, anticipating the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm, and influencing budget and technical considerations to advance operational efficiencies and functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level security engineers working on basic to moderately complex tasks.
- Be accountable for decisions influencing team resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution of processes and procedures.
- Ensure successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary.
- Provide input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team.
- Create a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members, prioritizing diverse representation.
Qualifications Required:
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items in security engineering.
- Hands-on experience in Threat Modeling, CISSP, CCSP.
- Experience running teams of engineers that deliver security solutions operations.

- Experience building security engineering products and solutions.
- Experience leading teams of technologists.
- Ability to guide and coach teams to achieve goals aligned against set strategic initiatives.
- Experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
- Practical cloud native experience.
