Job Description
- As a Quality Engineer at Cisco's Cloud Security Engineering team, you will be part of a dynamic group driving the technology that revolutionizes how customers secure their networks and users. Your role involves leveraging your strong analytical skills and comprehensive understanding of feature, system, and scale testing to contribute to the automation process.
In this position, you will collaborate with the SSE quality team to automate and test Cloud Native SASE, SSE, and SDWAN solutions throughout their lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and operating reliable systems with a focus on functional and integration level test automation. Additionally, you will evaluate potential risks to product functionality, performance, and reliability, working with fellow engineers to address and mitigate these risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate continuous, reliable, and maintainable systems with functional and integration level test automation services.
- Identify and predict areas of risk to product functionality, performance, maintainability, and reliability, collaborating with team members to find effective solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of solutions.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to address system vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree with 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in Cloud and Micro Services Architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Experience in VPN technology, SSL/DTLS/IKEv2/IPSec, and TCP/IP networking.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Firewalls, SWG, CASB, and network services.
- Experience with SSE, SASE, and SDWAN solutions.
- Proficiency in developing software with Python or Golang and writing scripts for automated test setups.
