Job Description
Business analyst role is part of Citi’s operational risk management – Technology team, which is responsible for design, develop, implement, and enhance the enterprise applications using agile methodology to support operational risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an intermediary between the business users and technology team for implementing the suite of operational risk management applications
- Closely work with lead/senior business analyst
- Support in all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure that the requirements are implemented as per the business requirements
- Work with various global business stakeholders to gather the business/system requirements
- Analyze the requirements and translate the requirements into user stories in Jira tool and get it approved
- Interact/work with developers and quality analysts based in different locations and ensure that they understood the business/system requirements well as well as address their queries
- Collaborate with professional UI/UX designers in finalizing the wireframes
- Recommend appropriate innovative technology solutions/enhancements to currents systems by analyzing the business process and systems
- Responsible for reviewing and approval of the system integrations testing test scenarios/cases
- Gain an in-depth understanding in operational risk systems/process and utilize the knowledge to solve the problems
- Coordinate between testing and development teams during the user acceptance testing phase
- Take part in IT solutioning along with other stakeholders
- Adopt Agile practices

Qualifications:
- 6 - 9 years of business analysis experience, preferably in financial technology projects
- Broad knowledge of banking or financial services
- Experience with all the phases of SDLC
- Experience with agile methodology, especially writing user stories
- Expertise in writing user manuals and training materials
- Should be able to write basic to mid-level SQL queries
- Good change management discipline
- Strong interpersonal skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (like B.E., B. Tech)
- MBA degree preferred
- Professional certification FRM will be an added advantage
- BA/PM/PO certifications like CBAP, PMP, CSPO, PSPO will be an added advantage
