Work Location : Okhla, New Delhi and Mumbai, Field travel for client projects
cKinetics is looking for experienced and skilled Senior Associates who are passionate about the Sustainable Finance space and looking to be a part of the team that does meaningful cutting-edge work.
The candidates would be part of the Sustainability Finance practice, with a special focus on areas related to Green/Climate Finance and/or Sustainable and Responsible Investing. The Sustainability Finance team at cKinetics provides research and strategic advisory in the areas related to Climate Finance, ESG related corporate risks /disclosures, and cleantech investments to help build the business case for Sustainability by constructing models that capture financial flows and financial impact on businesses/investors.

The work entails :
1. Responsibility for overall project planning and deliverables management for the assigned projects
2. Focus on designing solutions, developing client presentations, and undertaking necessary client interactions leading to client delight
Purpose of the position :
A Senior Associate is tasked with managing project deliverables end to end, overseeing a team of 2-3 associates / analysts or contribute as a SME, per the engagement needs. A Senior Associate must focus on the planning aspects as also the research elements. She /he must ensure that the deliverables are addressing the core objectives laid out by the clients in a timely and comprehensive fashion with requisite quality, specifically creative presentations/narratives backed by requisite market analysis, techno-commercial assessments, and data insights.
Key responsibilities :
Project Management :
- Build the business case in Sustainability related areas for the assigned project(s), including but not limited to Corporate ESG disclosure, investor portfolio assessment, sustainability finance, green/ climate finance, and sustainability and responsibility investing (SRI)
- Collaborating with the project/ internal teams- Associates/ Analysts - for devising cohesive solutions for client projects/ problem/ program/ product
- Identify the areas for Primary and secondary research as also align reliable data sources to support the necessary research
- Plan and undertake Onsite/ On-ground field or site visits as required for the different engagements
Client Engagement :
- Developing impactful and world-class written and oral presentations - Prepare reports with various data insights, trends, patterns, financial flows, techno-commercial assessment & financial modelling etc after requisite analysis derived from the structured/unstructured data collated through the research phase
- Ensure client project (s) /engagements are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner that leads to requisite client delight
Team Management and Time Management :
- Regular monitoring of the project progress on quality parameters & timelines as also providing oversight and inputs to different team members on assigned tasks
- Must use and ensure the team uses the Internal /company Project Management/ Time Management tools in day to day working to record time utilization towards respective project/s
- Managing and guiding the Associates, and Analysts to align them with the company and client expectations
Business Development Support :
- Provide business development support by undertaking active pursuits with existing and potential cKinetics clients - this shall entail developing proposals, concept notes, and other collateral as needed for presenting cKinetics capabilities
Candidate Requirements :
The ideal candidate must have the desire to work in Sustainability Finance and Sustainability transition interventions and must have the following mindset and skills sets :
- Proactive and independent person with a demonstrated passion as relates to sustainability
- Flexible and creative mindset; curious and creative individual able to understand quickly the complexities of the client organization's products and markets
- Strong analytical abilities and excellent presentation skills
- Ability to present and discuss their research and findings to a high-level audience and industry experts
- Data Analytics skills

- Assessment and Visualization Skills to extract and present relevant data information in a coherent manner
- Well acquainted with techno-commercial assessments, financial modelling and project finance essentials
- Ability to work 'hands-on' and multi-task in an energetic environment
- Ability to present and discuss the research and findings to a high-level audience and industry experts
Academic qualifications & Experience :
- MBA /Master's degree / CFA Level III certification and a desire to work in the Sustainability space
- Min. of relevant 4-6 years of experience in consulting : either management consulting or market research in Finance, ESG, Climate Finance and Carbon Markets
