Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct factual and legal assessment of maritime claims filed against the company in line with defined SOPs.
   
2. Scrutinize and verify claim documents for completeness, accuracy, relevance, and impact.
   
3. Appoint surveyors, where required, to determine the cause of cargo damage.
   
4. Negotiate surveyor fees and ensure recovery of operational costs by identifying third parties, if applicable.
   
5. Identify and procure critical information and documents to support claim investigations.
   
6. Lead claim settlement negotiations.
   
   
7. Assert and pursue claims for damages against third parties.
   
8. Coordinate closely with internal departments, insurance companies, and P&I clubs involved in the claims process.
   
9. Provide legal advice on maritime lawrelated matters to internal stakeholders and claimants.
   
10. Maintain accurate records of all claims and associated costs using internal claims management systems.
    
11. Escalate issues to senior management in a timely manner, as required.
    
12. Adhere strictly to quality processes, checklists, and defined standards.
    
13. Handle claims-related ad hoc tasks, including reporting and statistical analysis.
    
14. Comply with company policies, rules, and regulations at all times.
