Job Description
- As an experienced Cisco Collaboration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise collaboration solutions using the Cisco Collaboration suite. Your focus will be on maintaining voice, video, messaging, and contact center systems with high availability, security, and user experience in mind.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, deploy, and manage Cisco Unified Communications solutions including:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
- Cisco Unity Connection
- IM & Presence
- Cisco Webex Suite (Meetings, Calling, Messaging)
- Cisco Expressway (MRA)
- Support Webex Calling (UCM Cloud or Dedicated Instance) integrations and troubleshooting.
- Configure and maintain Cisco voice gateways (CUBE, ISR, VG series) and SIP trunks.
- Monitor collaboration systems and proactively resolve issues affecting service quality.
- Ensure systems are compliant with security, data privacy, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, IT Support) on deployments and escalations.
- Work with vendors and Cisco TAC for escalated troubleshooting and solution updates.
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience managing Cisco UC/Collaboration solutions.
- Deep understanding of:
- Cisco CUCM, Unity, Expressway

- VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP)
- QoS and network fundamentals for voice/video
- Hands-on experience with Cisco CUBE, SRST, UCCX/UCCE.
- Proficiency with Cisco collaboration hardware (Room Kits, Webex Boards, Desk Pro).
- Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, REST APIs) is a plus.
**Soft Skills:**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving ability under pressure.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.,
